Manager, Zebrafish Facility - Children's Hospital Los Angeles

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is recruiting a Manager for our new, state-of-the-art, 4000-tank zebrafish facility. The facility manager will play a critical part in CHLA’s efforts to improve the health of children through translational research. Seeking an experienced and highly responsible person to supervise staff and manage daily zebrafish husbandry and aquarium system maintenance, who is capable of making independent decisions regarding system maintenance and animal welfare. Quality assurance monitoring and testing, including oversight of animal exports, imports and quarantine, is also a primary responsibility. Position will be expected to develop Standard Operating Procedures for the entire CHLA aquatic research program, in collaboration with Principal Investigators and the Attending Veterinarian. Minimum Experience Required: BSc and a minimum of 2 years experience in aquatic species husbandry, including aquatic species handling, health monitoring and familiarity with aquatic systems equipment.
