The Max Planck Institute for Brain Research (MPI for Brain Research) in Frankfurt/Main is a vibrant research institution in the field of basic research in Neuroscience with a focus on understanding the functions of the brain’s circuits. The Schuman Lab (Department of Synaptic Plasticity) is looking for (a)
Postdoctoral Fellow(s) (m/f/div)
to examine the neural substrates of learning, memory and social behavior at the synaptic and network level using zebrafish (e.g. Anneser et al., Nature, 2020; https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586- 020-2988-z).
The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. and is an independent and creative thinker with a strong work ethic and significant experience using zebrafish and molecular biology, imaging and/or behavioral testing. This position is a unique opportunity to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment that is equipped with a new, state-of-the-art fish facility, as well as ample imaging and electrophysiology resources.
