Postdoctoral Position, Heart and Vascular Development and Regeneration, University of California, San Diego

A fully funded postdoctoral position is available at the University of California, San Diego to study heart and vascular development and regeneration in the zebrafish, mouse and human pluripotent stem cells.  Our laboratory uses cellular, molecular, genetic/epigenetic, single cell genomic and transgenic approaches to study the specification, patterning, and differentiation of cardiovascular progenitor cells that give rise to the heart and the vascular system.  We are most interested in translating these findings for therapies and early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, stroke, heart failure and cardiac arrhythmias.
