Research Specialist, Department of Organismal Biology & Anatomy, The University of Chicago

The Prince and Krishnan labs both take advantage of the zebrafish as a model system. The Research Technologist will be responsible for the maintenance of two small zebrafish aquarium facilities (one in each lab), and their zebrafish stocks, as well as general technical support including ordering and tracking supplies, maintaining equipment, and some basic molecular, embryology and histology approaches. This position includes opportunities to become involved in ongoing research projects in both labs, see https://voices.uchicago.edu/princelab/ and http://krishnanlab.uchicago.edu/, and could begin as soon as May 1, 2021, but start date is negotiable.  Would suit an enthusiastic new or soon to be graduate, looking to gain additional research experience.
