Assistant Professor - Biology Department, Wesleyan University
The Biology Department at Wesleyan University seeks an assistant professor in areas relating to neuroscience and behavior beginning July 1, 2022. The Assistant Professor will conduct research that embraces new, integrative approaches to address fundamental questions in neuroscience and behavior; complement and contribute to our current research and teaching strengths in neuroscience and behavior, cell and developmental biology, genomics, ecology and evolution; and must be committed to the goals of a liberal arts education in a culturally diverse campus community. Teaching duties will include courses in our undergraduate and graduate curriculum, with a normal load of one full-credit course per semester. Additional duties include advising and mentoring students, and participating in faculty governance at the departmental and university levels. The Assistant Professor will also use their dedicated laboratory space to launch an independent research program funded by internal and extramural grants.
