Professor in Animal Physiology, Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands

Application deadline is May 31, 2022.

A position for a Full Professor of Animal Physiology at our department is available, and we would be grateful if you could disseminate the advertisement below among colleagues and interested candidates. Or, if applicable, if you would like to respond yourself! Apologies for cross-posting.

The former Organismal Animal Physiology group has built an extensive expertise in adaptive responses of fish, with emphasis on stress physiology, endocrines that control feeding and calcium homeostasis. The group has recently merged with the Animal Ecology department, which will instigate new research possibilities and collaborations.

For more than 40 years the department has owned lab aquaria. We started working with zebrafish in 2007 and today, the Radboud Zebrafish Facility provides high-quality zebrafish husbandry in several modern housing systems and holds thousands of fish, including different wildtype strains, transgenic reporter lines and mutants with loss- and gain-of-function phenotypes.
