Biology Faculty, University of Minnesota Duluth, Duluth, MN

The UMD Biology Department seeks a full-time, term faculty member for the 2022-2023 academic year to teach a molecular biology lab course in the fall (BIOL 5323 Molecular Biology Lab) and developmental biology in the spring (BIOL 4361 Developmental Biology, lecture + lab) plus two sections of an upper-division seminar course per semester (BIOL 3897 Communication in Biology).

Required Qualifications:

Master's Degree (PhD preferred) in the Biological Sciences or related field from a regionally accredited institution.

Communication skills (oral and written) at university faculty level.

One year of relevant teaching experience at the university level, preferably as lead instructor.

Demonstrated ability to teach/interact effectively with a diverse group of students including those students who traditionally have been underrepresented in the Biological Sciences or related fields.
