Postdoctoral Position, Shin Lab, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh, PA

A postdoctoral position is available in the Shin lab at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Research in the Shin laboratory is focused on elucidating the cellular and molecular mechanisms of liver regeneration, particularly the plasticity of hepatic cells during regeneration. Using multiple liver regeneration/injury models, a hired postdoc will investigate the roles of several candidate genes and pathways identified from RNAseq analysis and chemical screens.

We seek talented, highly motivated candidates who have recently obtained a Ph.D. (within 3 years) or will obtain a Ph.D. in the near future. The ideal candidates would have previous research experience in cell biology, molecular biology, developmental biology, or relevant research fields. If interested, please send an email to Donghun Shin (donghuns@pitt.edu) with a curriculum vitae (CV) and a cover letter describing the followings:

  1. A brief description of candidate's past research projects

2. What are your research interests related to the work in the Shin lab?

3. What are your career goals?

4. Contact information of two referees
