Job Description:
Employ the zebrafish model to investigate protein function associated with cilia and ciliopathy by designing research protocols and collecting and managing data
Micro-injection of mRNA, morpholinos, and Crispants (CRISPR-Cas9) into embryos
Embryo/cell imaging experiments (fixed and live cell confocal and super resolution microscopy and electron microscopy)
Molecular biology (morpholino and CRISPR guide RNA design, cloning, DNA and RNA prep)
Biochemical analysis (immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation etc)
Screening (genotyping) of transgenic fish lines
Documents research results, statistic analysis and interpretation of data, presentation of results in group meeting and participates in publication preparation of results
Requirements:
Have previous experience in animal models of human diseases, preferably zebrafish or other aquatic animals
Must have a PhD or MD
Research Fellow position will be considered for candidates with previous postdoc experience
