Faculty Positions in the Department of Biological Sciences
The Department of Biological Sciences at Purdue University (https://www.bio.purdue.edu) invites applicants for multiple tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applications are welcome from researchers in any area of life sciences, including but not limited to neurobiology, microbiology, immunology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, and chemical biology. The quality and potential of the research and teaching program will be the primary criteria for consideration.

 

Responsibilities
Establishing and maintaining an independent, innovative, and externally funded research program; teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; participating in departmental, college, and university service.

Applicants should submit (1) a cover letter, (2) a curriculum vita, (3) a research statement describing the long-term and short-term research plan with possible specific aims for the first five years (2-3 pages), (4) teaching statement (1 page; teaching philosophy, experience, and plans), and (5) names of three references.

Education and Experience
Applicants must hold a PhD in Biological Sciences or a related discipline, have demonstrated success in research and teaching.
