Senior Research Scientist opportunities are immediately available within the Advanced Center for Translational Genetic Medicine (ACT-GeM) within the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute. The lab’s vision is to understand rare pediatric genetic disease and Senior Scientists will be considered for leadership roles on a range of interdisciplinary projects with readily available funding. The ideal candidates will be accomplished, highly motivated, and creative scientists with interests in at least one of the three following areas:

  1. understanding the architecture of human genetic disease;

2. investigating the mechanisms underlying disease processes; and

3. identification of novel therapeutic paradigms for inherited disorders.

Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to investigate unique pediatric cohorts; use cell-based, zebrafish, or mouse models; and employ cutting-edge molecular and imaging technologies in a state-of-the-art facility.
