Research Technologist, Lam Lab, Medical College of Wisconsin, WI, USA

 

The Lam Laboratory is located in the Neuroscience Research Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin and is member of the Department of Cell Biology, Neurobiology and Anatomy (https://www.mcw.edu/departments/cell-biology-neurobiology-and-anatomy/people/pui-ying-penny-lam-phd ). We are seeking a full-time Research Technologist to join the group. The Lam laboratory is broadly interested in immune-related biological processes in health and disease using zebrafish and Danionella models, as well as small molecule tool development. We are looking for a motivated Research Technologist to provide support for lab research. Under general direction from the PI and other members in the lab, the successful candidate for this position will conduct experiments for sponsored research projects, compile and analyze data generated, and be involved in general lab management including the preparation of common lab reagents.

 

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master degree in biology or related field with at least one year of lab experience.

 

Preferred skills:
Basic cell and molecular biology (PCR, gel electrophoresis, DNA purification, bacterial culture, restriction digestion, cloning, sequencing, preparing reagents etc.)
Zebrafish embryos microinjection
Confocal imaging
