Biotechnical Customer Support Specialist, Gene Tools, LLC, Philomath, OR

Company Background: Gene Tools, LLC is an established biotech company in the mid-Willamette valley of Western Oregon. Gene Tools has been manufacturing custom Morpholino oligos for over 25 years for customers around the world. Our customers use Morpholinos to conduct important research in many scientific fields including developmental biology, disease modeling and molecular diagnostics.

Core Responsibilities:

-Technical customer support

-Customer order assistance

-Marketing

-Exhibiting at conferences and trade shows

Key Daily tasks: Technical discussions with customers relating to oligo design, experimental design, and experimental troubleshooting.

Work Environment: Work with a small group of experienced Ph.D. biologists in a purpose-built manufacturing and research facility in Philomath, Oregon. We are located 10 min from Oregon State University.

Required Qualifications:

-Ph. D. in biology or related field.

-Good background in molecular biology and gene regulation techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with Morpholino oligos.

Experience working with model organisms in developmental biology (zebrafish, Xenopus, urchin, etc)

Starting salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 depending on experience
