Ph.D Positions, Hall Lab, Institute for Molecular Bioscience, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia
Two PhD positions are available under the supervision of Dr Thomas Hall in the Institute for Molecular Bioscience, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia with negotiable start time during 2025.
The focus of these projects is to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying disease causing genetic variants in cardiovascular conditions and lipodystrophies, but within this general theme there is broad scope for creativity.
We utilise a broad range of transgenic technology, imaging, and proteomics techniques, and also employ other systems such as leishmania, tissue culture and C. elegans to support our zebraffish data, or answer questions not possible in this model.
Highly motivated candidates with strong backgrounds in genetics and molecular biology are encouraged to apply via the links below.
