PhD Studentship Opportunity – Infection Biology Using the Zebrafish Model, A*STAR / King’s College London, Singapore/United Kingdom

A fully funded PhD studentship is available through the Joint A*STAR–King’s College London PhD Programme. The project will investigate bacterial determinants of persistent infection using the zebrafish model, integrating infection biology, microbial genetics, and in vivo host–pathogen interaction studies.

The PhD candidate will be jointly supervised by Dr. Vincenzo Torraca and Prof. Stephen Oehlers, and will be based across King’s College London (UK) and A*STAR (Singapore), providing an international, interdisciplinary training environment.

This project is suitable for highly motivated candidates with a background in microbiology, infection biology, molecular biology, or related life science disciplines. Prior experience with zebrafish is advantageous but not essential.
