Job description:
The Department of Systems Neuroscience and Neuroengineering (www.rolilab.com) at the Max Planck Institute of Biological Cybernetics has an open position for a technical assistant. Responsibilities include molecular cloning (e.g. Gibson assemby, Gateway cloning, etc.), and creation and maintenance of zebrafish transgenic lines.
The position begins with a 2-year contract, and is renewable for up to 4 years, with the possibility of subsequent conversion into a permanent position.
The ideal candidate has excellent prior experience in molecular biology and genetics (e.g. cloning, embryonic injections, etc.), good organizational and communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.
