ZFIN Updates Data to GRCz12tu Reference Genome

 

ZFIN is excited to announce that we have updated our site to use NCBI annotation data for the GRCz12tu reference genome. The Summary section of the gene page has fields for Genome Assembly and Annotation Status to provide the most up-to-date information for the gene.

The novel isoforms for protein-coding genes can be viewed in the genome browser in the Sequences section of the gene page.

In addition, the Mapping details and Genome Browser also include the GRCz12tu assembly to provide genomic context. In the coming months, ZFIN plans to integrate GRCz12tu reference genome annotations with other data and increase the number of genome tracks for better visualization. We are also engaged in continuous curation to increase the number of ZFIN genes with updated RefSeq data.
