IFM2026 - Israeli Fish Model Meeting

Join us on the sunny shores of the Red Sea for the Israeli Fish Model Meeting 2026!

Set against the backdrop of Eilat’s desert mountains and coral reefs, this meeting will bring together scientists passionate about advancing biological research through fish models.

Over three inspiring days, we’ll enjoy scientific talks, interactive discussions, and unique experiences, including both “dry” and “wet” visits to the coral reef, as well as social events designed to foster collaboration and creativity.

Registration opens January 2026 - save the dates!

Fish model research, especially using zebrafish, is one of the fastest-growing fields in modern biology. Combining cutting-edge optical imaging and advanced genetic technologies, researchers are uncovering fundamental mechanisms that bridge basic cellular biology and human disease.

This meeting will host Israeli and international principal investigators, postdocs, and students, highlighting the latest discoveries and innovations in zebrafish and other fish model systems.

We look forward to seeing you in Eilat, where science meets the sea!
