Corinne Houart, Frank Tulenko and Pete Currie are organising a small workshop meeting in a beautiful Palazzo in Prato Italy "International Workshop on Chondrichthyan Development and Genomics 2024" from the 22nd-24th October, 2024.
Due to a grant that Corinne and Pete obtained, the registration to the meeting is free but limited to 60 on a first come first served basis. There is also a limited number of travel grants available for students and postdocs. Dr. Igor Dawid, a renowned long-time NICHD Senior Investigator and one of the true giants in the field of Developmental Biology, passed away February 13, 2024. Igor helped bring cutting-edge Developmental Biology and zebrafish research to the NIH, and he left behind a phenomenal legacy of outstanding research accomplishments, both from his own laboratory and from the labs of the innumerable trainees and colleagues he recruited and nurtured over the years.
A symposium honoring Igor’s life, his long and illustrious career, and his profound impact is being held on Monday, May 20 from 9 am to 5 pm in the auditorium of the Natcher Conference Center (Bldg. 45) on the NIH main campus in Bethesda, Maryland.
