Lorentz Workshop: Zebrafish Against Cancer – Towards Clinical Relevance
We are pleased to announce the upcoming Lorentz Workshop on Zebrafish Against Cancer: Towards Clinical Relevance, which will take place in Leiden from June 3rd to June 6th, 2025. This workshop aims to evaluate the current state of cancer research using zebrafish models and explore future directions in the field. Participation is free of charge for all attendees. The workshop has two primary goals:
Establishing Guidelines – Developing clear recommendations for integrating zebrafish cancer models into the early stages of the drug discovery pipeline.
Career Development – Providing early-stage cancer researchers utilizing zebrafish models with guidance to build impactful careers in clinical research.
A preliminary program is available on the workshop website (https://www.lorentzcenter.nl/zebrafish-against-cancer-towards-clinical-relevance.html ), where interested participants can also register. Please note that registration does not guarantee acceptance, as attendance is limited to 85 participants.
We look forward to welcoming researchers from diverse backgrounds to contribute to this important discussion. To support inclusivity and accessibility, we offer a Diversity Fund for eligible participants. Further details can be found on the Lorentz Center website.
